About the game

The player pilots the lunar module and the goal is to reach the arrival platform before running out of fuel. Take up the challenge to pilot safely to the destination.
Inspired from the classic moon lander genre, this game takes it into a whole another dimension. It gives realistic unforgiving gravity controls.

Release history

Release 3.0 (April 2026)

I took the feedbacks from the game-jam to improve the game, and hopefully to finish my first game. The main weakness was the visuals and the lack of sound effects: About the visuals weakness, I reworked the lighting and added normal-mapping. About the sound effects, I added sounds that can be heard from the cockpit. It improves a lot the player experience.

Release 2.0 (Oct 2025)

I continued to improve the game, with my first participation to a game-jam. A detailed devlog is available here. The improvements include better joystick controls and menu navigation, as well as enhanced visuals (ground rendering, lighting dynamic-range, ...).

Release 1.0 (Jan 2024)

I finally decided to release the main version, for which I focused on polishing the user-experience. I setup a score instead of the acheivements and I added a replay the best successful attempt with a phantom vessel. The web-version has now the specific build mode: a portable version.

Release beta 5, 6, 7 (from 2022 to Jan 2023)

I focused to implement all side elements that improve the user experience, such as check-points, achievements and the support of joysticks. The web-version has also been released.

Release beta 4 (May 2020)

Lot of improvements have been made on the models and the rendering, with a complete rework of the moon modeling.

Release beta 3 (Nov 2018) and before

I built from scratch the game on PC with OpenGL and I learnt OpenGL in the same time. The game concept has been extended to a 2D platformer with 3D rendering. I put lot of efforts to create the custom physic engine (dev-log).

Prototype (~2003)

The initial idea was born in my math class, and so I implemented a game on the programmable calculator TI-82. The program is lost unfortunately.
The player controls the engine thrust of a vessel attracted by the moon's gravity, while the vessel can only move vertically. The goal is to land without exceeding a certain speed and with limited fuel.
